Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and the right breakfast can set us up to feel rejuvenated, alert and ready to take on the day’s challenges. So why not swap the boring toast and jam or cereal full of sugar, for a healthy, filling option that’s easy to make at home?

Bircher pots are an easy way of getting your five-a-day in and can be customised based on your fruit preferences. Take a look at the recipe below:

How to Make a Yoghurt Bircher Pot

Yoghurt (vanilla or whichever flavour you prefer)

Mixed berries

Pomegranate seeds

1-2 teaspoons Sciiona

Make porridge using milk or water. Once cooled, add one to two teaspoons of Sciiona into the porridge and stir until thoroughly mixed through. In a Kilner jar or bircher pot begin by layering the porridge, followed by a layer of granola and then the yoghurt on top. Keep layering as many times as you like. Add mixed berries and pomegranate seeds to finish.
